Dosage:
2 suppositories at night.
Prescribing Restrictions:
Indications:
Rheumatoid arthritis and other rheumatic conditions, painful inflammatory conditions of non-rheumatic origin.
Contra-Indications:
Hypersensitivity to component, syndrome of nasal polyps, angiodema, bronchospastic reactivity to aspirin or other NSAID agents, active peptic ulcer. Supps: for inflammatory lesions rectum of anus, or in patients with recent history rectal or anal bleed.
Special Precautions:
Risk of GI ulceration, bleeding and perforation. Patients on prolonged corticosteroid therapy should have their therapy tapered slowly if a decision is made to discontinue corticosteroids. Should not be administered to patients with aspirin sensitivity, use with caution in patients with pre-existing asthma.
Pregnancy and lactation: NSAID's are not recommended. Amounts excreted in breast milk with usual doses are considered too small to be harmful to the nursing infant.
Side Effects:
Dizziness, abdominal pain, diarrhea, dyspepsia, flatulence.
