Prescribing Restrictions:  

Indications:
Acute nonlymphocytic leukemia, acute leukemias, granulocytic leukemia.
Contra-Indications:
None listed.
Special Precautions:
Potentially carcinogenic and mutagenic. Impaired hepatic and renal function. 
Pregnancy and lactation: Increased incidence of abortion during the first trimester.
Side Effects:
Bone marrow depression (may be delayed), gastro-intestinal reactions, hepatoxicity. Neutropenia has been reported. Fever may occur. See literature (Martindale, 32nd edition).
